Pharmacy Technician | Saint Petersburg, Florida

Join a dynamic pharmacy environment as a Pharmacy Technician supporting prescription processing and medication management. This 13-week contract role, located in Clearwater, FL, offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, starting ASAP or shortly after clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process prescriptions and manage insurance adjudications, addressing any claim rejections promptly.
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Perform detailed data entry, manage prescription documentation, and communicate clearly with patients and prescribers.
• Maintain precise inventory control through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration tracking.
• Assist with medication returns, quarantining, and destruction processes to ensure safety and compliance.
• Cross-train across pharmacy functions and provide support to the department as needed.
• Adhere strictly to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations to maintain security and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current PTCB certification and Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years’ pharmacy technician experience; call center experience is a plus.
• Strong multitasking abilities with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
