Pharmacy Technician | Saint Petersburg, Florida

This role offers the opportunity to support pharmacy operations by efficiently processing prescriptions and maintaining accurate inventory in a fast-paced environment. The position is a 13-week contract located in Clearwater, FL, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. The start date is ASAP or approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks after offer acceptance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process prescriptions, handle insurance adjudications, and resolve claim rejections
• Prepare, package, and label medications accurately for pharmacist verification
• Perform data entry and manage prescription paperwork while communicating with patients and prescribers
• Maintain accurate inventory through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration date reviews
• Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and destruction processes as needed
• Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to support overall department operations
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Active PTCB certification and Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience; call center experience is a plus
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management abilities
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, providers, and internal teams
