This pharmacy technician position offers an engaging opportunity to support prescription processing and medication management within a dynamic healthcare environment. The role is based in Clearwater, FL, with a contract duration of 13 weeks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a start date available as soon as possible or approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks after offer clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and fill prescriptions accurately while managing insurance claims and resolving adjudication rejections.
  • Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
  • Perform data entry tasks, manage prescription paperwork, and maintain clear communication with patients and prescribers.
  • Conduct daily inventory cycle counts, restock supplies, and review medication expiration dates.
  • Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and proper destruction procedures.
  • Cross-train across various pharmacy functions to provide comprehensive departmental support.
  • Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Current PTCB certification and active Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience, with call center experience considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
