Pharmacy Technician - Saint Petersburg, FL

A pharmacy technician role is available for a 13-week contract in Clearwater, FL, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. This position requires a candidate who is detail-oriented and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and fill prescriptions accurately, handling insurance adjudications and resolving claim rejections.
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
• Perform data entry tasks, manage prescription paperwork, and maintain communication with patients and prescribers.
• Conduct daily inventory management including cycle counts, restocking, and reviewing medication expiration dates.
• Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and the destruction process.
• Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to support department needs.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid PTCB certification and Florida pharmacy technician license are mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician; call center experience is a plus.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, providers, and internal teams.
