Support pharmacy operations as a Pharmacy Technician in a clinical setting specializing in ambulatory infusion care. This role involves assisting pharmacists with clinical data collection, problem-solving, medication order processing, and patient interaction under pharmacist supervision. Expertise in IV admixture and sterile techniques is essential due to the nature of infusion therapy patients treated for conditions such as cancer, autoimmune diseases, and infections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in clinical data gathering and interpreting patient information
- Support medication order processing and accuracy
- Engage with patients to provide information and support during infusion treatments
- Perform pharmacy procedures including IV admixture and sterile technique preparation
- Utilize electronic medical records system (EPIC) for documentation and order verification
- Operate pharmacy equipment, calculators, and computer systems proficiently
- Adhere to safety and quality standards in all pharmacy operations
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current, unencumbered Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician license
- Minimum 18 months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Proficient with computer keyboarding and math calculations
- Demonstrated technical expertise in pharmacy procedures, including IV admixture and sterile techniques
- Experience assessing clinical data and working in infusion environments preferred
- Must pass pre-employment/post-offer drug screening
Location: Salem, OR
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, no weekends
Contract Length: 13 weeks, starting ASAP
