Pharmacy Technician - Salem, Virginia

Location: Salem, VA
Employment Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately interpret sig codes, select appropriate products, and process prescription refills with attention to detail
• Perform thorough data entry, verify insurance information, and efficiently resolve claim rejections
• Prepare, label, and package medications for pharmacist approval while adhering to quality standards
• Maintain accurate inventory records, complete cycle counts, and manage medication returns
• Manage inbound and outbound communications with patients and prescribers, providing exceptional service
• Ensure all procedures comply with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and company protocols

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician license and valid PTCB certification
• Excellent communication skills combined with strong multitasking and time-management abilities
