Pharmacy Technician - San Angelo, Texas

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations in San Angelo, TX. This 13-week assignment involves working closely with pharmacists to ensure safe and accurate medication preparation while maintaining high standards of pharmacy compliance and organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately compound, prepare, and process prescriptions in line with company policies and state regulations.
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and supplies.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations to verify correct dosages.
• Label and package medications properly.
• Participate in documenting and reporting medication-related incidents to maintain patient safety.
• Clean and sanitize pharmacy work surfaces and equipment, including laminar flow hoods.
• Inspect pharmacy equipment and report any malfunctions or defects promptly.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy temperature logs and cleaning records.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a pharmacy technician.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas.
• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• IV Certification is required.
