A Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available in San Antonio, Texas, requiring a valid TX Pharmacy Technician license. This contract role begins March 2, 2026, with a daily shift from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Responsibilities include precise medication preparation by interpreting prescriptions, calculating dosages, and accurately measuring, mixing, counting, and labeling medications to support pharmacist dispensing. You will also manage medication dispensing and thorough documentation, including processing insurance claims, maintaining patient profiles, and managing prescription filing with accuracy and confidentiality.

Inventory management is a key aspect of this position; expect to track stock levels, perform order entry, rotate inventory for optimal stock usage, and order necessary supplies to maintain operational efficiency. Supporting daily pharmacy workflow operations is essential, encompassing timely opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth service delivery.

Effective communication skills are vital for this role, as you will interact professionally with patients, clinicians, and internal teams, assisting with medication awareness and fostering positive team collaboration. Strict adherence to compliance and quality standards is mandatory, including following safety protocols, quality checklists, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Candidates with experience in operating dispensing machinery or robotics, supporting intravenous (IV) room activities, and compounding sterile or non-sterile preparations will find these specialized tasks valuable.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Active TX Pharmacy Technician license
