A specialty pharmacy in San Diego is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician for an immediate contract opportunity. This role involves supporting pharmacy operations in a fast-paced specialty pharmacy setting, with a focus on prescription filling and medication authorization processing.

Location:

  • San Diego, CA

Schedule:

  • 8-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Some weekend shifts required

Duration:

  • 13 weeks plus, with potential to become permanent (temp-to-hire)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill medication prescriptions according to pharmacy protocols
  • Process medication authorizations efficiently to ensure timely patient access
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to support specialty medication management
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to compliance standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in California
  • Experience working in specialty pharmacy environments preferred
  • Proficient in handling medication authorization processes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Local candidates preferred for easy accessibility
