A specialty pharmacy in San Diego is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support their team on a 13-week contract with the potential to transition to a permanent position. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced specialty pharmacy setting focused on providing tailored medication therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fill and prepare prescriptions accurately and efficiently
  • Process medication authorizations to ensure timely patient access to medications
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to support patient care
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Assist with inventory management and documentation as needed

Qualifications:

  • Current California Pharmacy Technician license is required
  • Proven experience working in a specialty pharmacy or similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of medication authorization procedures and insurance requirements
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Local candidates preferred for ease of commuting

Schedule:

  • Day shifts, 8 hours per day (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM)
  • Some weekend shifts may be required

This contract role starts ASAP and lasts for approximately 13 weeks. Previous technicians have successfully transitioned to permanent roles, offering a pathway for long-term employment.
