Pharmacy Tech - San Francisco, California

This opportunity is ideal for Pharmacy Technicians seeking a dynamic role in a fast-paced hospital setting. The department is currently experiencing a shortage of approximately three full-time technicians. Prompt action will enable you to secure full-time hours and gain valuable experience.

Work Schedule: • Shifts begin at 6:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, or 3:00 PM • Each shift is 8.5 hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

Key Responsibilities: • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately • Support IV medication preparation, with hands-on training provided where needed • Maintain inventory and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to optimize patient care

Desired Experience: • Prior pharmacy technician experience preferred, especially exposure to IV preparation • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is advantageous • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a team environment • Excellent organizational and communication skills

This is a contract position, ideal for candidates ready to contribute immediately and interested in gaining further specialized experience. Those with some existing exposure to IVs will have an advantage; however, on-the-job training is available.
