Pharmacy Technicians are needed for a per diem registry position at a large, Level I trauma center hospital in San Francisco, CA. This role offers long-term, open-ended assignments within a busy county hospital setting known for its fast-paced, high-volume inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately for both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy areas
- Assist pharmacists in managing medication inventories, including use of EPIC and Omnicell systems
- Support IV medication preparation and handling, applying hospital pharmacy protocols
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure safe medication distribution
- Maintain compliance with hospital regulatory standards and safety policies
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred, especially with IV medication preparation
- Proficiency with EPIC and Omnicell technology is a strong plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Schedule:
- Per diem registry role with a variable schedule
- Average 24 hours/week, with some weeks up to 40+ hours
- Candidates should be available approximately 3 to 4 days per week
- Shift start times available: 6:00 am, 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm
- Each shift is 8.5 hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
