A well-established Level I trauma center in San Francisco County is seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians for per diem registry positions. This opportunity offers the flexibility to work approximately 24 hours per week, with the potential for busier weeks reaching 40+ hours. Candidates should be prepared to commit to working around 3 to 4 days each week, with shifts available at multiple start times throughout the day.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with medication preparation and dispensing in both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings
  • Accurately handle IV medications and support hospital pharmacy operations
  • Utilize pharmacy technology systems, including EPIC and Omnicell, for medication management
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use
  • Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards within a busy county hospital environment

Qualifications:

  • Active Pharmacy Technician certification with demonstrated hospital experience preferred
  • Exposure to IV medication preparation strongly desired
  • Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell pharmacy systems advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly in a dynamic, fast-paced trauma center
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Schedule:

  • Per diem registry position
  • Approximately 3-4 days per week, averaging 24 hours weekly
  • Shift start times at 6:00 am, 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, or 3:00 pm
  • 8.5-hour shifts with 30-minute unpaid lunch break
