Join a leading Level I trauma center in San Francisco, serving as a Pharmacy Technician in a registry role that offers flexible, per diem work schedules. This opportunity allows you to contribute to a busy, high-volume county hospital with both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy needs.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately for inpatient and outpatient settings
- Assist pharmacists with inventory management and medication distribution
- Use EPIC and Omnicell systems for order entry, tracking, and documentation
- Handle IV medication preparation and other hospital pharmacy procedures (preferred)
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician with experience in hospital or clinical settings
- Familiarity with IV medication preparation is highly desirable
- Proficient in using pharmacy technology systems, such as EPIC and Omnicell
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic hospital environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Schedule/Hours:
- Per diem position averaging approximately 24 hours per week, with some weeks reaching 40+ hours
- Flexible shifts available starting at 6:00 am, 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm
- 8.5-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break
- Candidates should be available to work about 3-4 days per week
