This opportunity is for experienced Pharmacy Technicians interested in a registry role at a busy Level I trauma center in San Francisco. This position offers flexible scheduling within a well-established county hospital environment, supporting both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately
- Managing pharmaceutical inventory using EPIC and Omnicell systems
- Compounding and preparing IV medications when applicable
- Supporting inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Maintaining compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
Desired Experience:
- Previous hospital pharmacy technician experience, ideally with exposure to IV preparation
- Familiarity with pharmacy technology platforms such as EPIC and Omnicell
- Ability to work efficiently in a large, high-volume healthcare facility
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work variable shifts starting at 6 am, 8 am, 10 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, or 3 pm, with 8.5 hour shifts including a 30-minute lunch break
Schedule:
- Per diem registry role, averaging approximately 24 hours per week
- Candidates available to work around 3 to 4 days weekly preferred
- Some weeks may require up to 40+ hours
