Join a prominent Level I trauma center serving San Francisco County in a vital Per Diem Pharmacy Technician role. This opportunity offers a flexible registry position with the chance to work approximately 3 to 4 days per week, averaging around 24 hours weekly. Some weeks may see increased hours of 40 or more, allowing for an adaptable schedule that fits your availability.

This long-term, open-ended assignment features shifts starting at 6:00 am, 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. Each shift is 8.5 hours with a 30-minute lunch break. Positions are available on both the inpatient and outpatient sides of the hospital, providing a comprehensive range of pharmacy experiences within a busy, dynamic hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and dispense medications in inpatient or outpatient settings
  • Assist pharmacists with medication distribution and inventory management
  • Utilize EPIC and Omnicell systems for order processing and medication tracking
  • Support IV medication preparation and sterile compounding activities where applicable
  • Ensure adherence to hospital safety protocols and regulatory compliance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably with hospital and IV medication exposure
  • Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell technology systems preferred
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to providing quality patient care and support
