This opportunity is for an experienced or new graduate Pharmacy Technician interested in a per diem registry role supporting a large, busy retail pharmacy within a major county hospital. The position offers the flexibility to work approximately 3-4 days per week, with an average of 24 hours weekly and potential busy weeks exceeding 40 hours. Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and dispense medications following established protocols.
  • Utilize pharmacy technologies including EPIC and Omnicell to process orders and manage inventory.
  • Support pharmacists by assisting with prescription verification and patient communication.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate within a dynamic team to meet the demands of a high-volume retail pharmacy setting.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Certification or completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program preferred; new graduates are welcome.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems, especially EPIC and Omnicell.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing excellent patient services.

Schedule:

  • Shifts primarily on weekdays.
  • Start times vary, including 6:00 am, 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm.
  • Each shift is approximately 8.5 hours with a 30-minute lunch break.

Location:

  • Situated in San Francisco, CA at a prominent county hospital pharmacy.
