Pharmacy Technician – Per Diem – San Francisco, CA

An opportunity exists for a Pharmacy Technician to support a large, fast-paced county hospital pharmacy serving San Francisco County. This per diem registry role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to gain experience in a busy retail pharmacy environment using EPIC and Omnicell technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately based on prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
• Assist pharmacists in daily operations of the retail pharmacy
• Manage medication inventory and restock supplies as needed
• Utilize EPIC and Omnicell systems for dispensing and record-keeping
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and safety guidelines

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician certification preferred but new graduates and retail techs are encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with retail pharmacy operations and workflow
• Experience with EPIC and Omnicell systems helpful
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Availability to work approximately 3–4 days per week on weekdays, with shift start times ranging from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (8.5-hour shifts including a 30-minute lunch break)

Location:

• San Francisco, CA – County hospital setting

Schedule/Hours:

• Per diem role averaging 24 hours per week; some weeks may require 40+ hours
• Shifts primarily on weekdays with flexible start times at 6 AM, 8 AM, 10 AM, 12 PM, 1 PM, or 3 PM
