A dynamic opportunity exists for a Pharmacy Technician to support a busy county hospital pharmacy in San Francisco. This position offers a registry role, providing flexibility with an average of 24 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday, with the potential for busier weeks exceeding 40 hours.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, label, and dispense medications accurately in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.
- Utilize pharmacy technology systems including EPIC and Omnicell for medication management and documentation.
- Assist pharmacists in inventory management and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to healthcare staff and patients.
- Adapt to varying shift start times (6 am, 8 am, 10 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, and 3 pm) with 8.5-hour shifts, including a 30-minute lunch break.
Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Technician certification or relevant experience; new graduates and retail pharmacy technicians are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell systems preferred but not required.
- Ability to work reliably 3 to 4 days per week, flexible to fluctuating hours.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
