Seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians for per diem registry roles at a large, busy county hospital pharmacy located in San Francisco, CA. This is a long-term, open-ended assignment offering an opportunity to work flexible hours within a fast-paced retail environment.
The position involves working an average of 24 hours per week, with availability to work approximately 3 to 4 days weekly. Some weeks may require up to 40+ hours. Shifts predominantly occur on weekdays and begin at various times: 6:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, or 3:00 PM. Each shift lasts 8.5 hours, including a 30-minute lunch break.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision
- Efficiently manage medication inventory and assist with restocking
- Use EPIC and Omnicell systems for medication orders and dispensing
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Provide excellent customer service within a busy retail hospital setting
Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Technician certification or equivalent experience
- Recent graduates and retail pharmacy technicians are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell technology preferred but not required
- Ability to work varied shift start times and flexible scheduling
