A well-established Level I trauma center and busy county hospital is seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians for a registry role. This opportunity offers the flexibility of per diem scheduling with an average of 24 hours per week, and potential for up to 40+ hours during busier periods. Ideal candidates are available to work approximately 3-4 days per week and are interested in a long-term, open-ended assignment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently in both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings.
- Support pharmacy operations within a fast-paced hospital environment, adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.
- Utilize EPIC and Omnicell technologies for medication management and documentation.
- Assist with IV medication preparation and management, demonstrating knowledge of sterile compounding procedures.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure timely delivery of pharmaceutical services.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Certification or licensing as a Pharmacy Technician, with hospital or IV experience preferred.
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and exposure to intravenous medication preparation.
- Proficient with EPIC and Omnicell systems or similar healthcare technologies.
- Ability to work independently and handle the demands of a busy trauma center.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Schedule:
- Shifts are 8.5 hours, with 30-minute lunch breaks.
- Shift start times vary: 6 am, 8 am, 10 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, and 3 pm.
- Flexible availability to work inpatient or outpatient pharmacy units.
