Pharmacy Technician – Production Role (Contract) – Bay Area, CA

An opportunity is available for experienced Pharmacy Technicians to join a special project in the Bay Area. This contract position offers an efficient way to gain work hours and earn income promptly, ideal for technicians eager to apply their skills in a fast-paced production environment.

Location:

• Bay Area, CA (near Union City)

Schedule:

• 4 days per week, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 6 evenings per week, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: 5/31

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions and prepackage medications under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, adhering to all regulatory and safety standards.
• Assist the Pharmacist with final prescription checks, including medication preparation for review and packaging after final verification.
• Support inventory management efforts such as receiving, rotating stock, tracking lot numbers and expiration dates, and participating in physical inventory counts.
• Collaborate with the Technician Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning work environment, including equipment calibration and safety checks.
• This role focuses on fulfillment tasks; IV preparation is not part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician license in hand.
• Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently under supervision in a pharmacy setting.
• Familiarity with medication packaging, inventory procedures, and compliance standards.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible shifts based on project needs.
