Pharmacy Technician - Sandusky, Ohio

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician with experience in an inpatient hospital setting to join a dynamic healthcare environment. The position is based on a 7 on, 7 off schedule, working the night shift from 9 PM to 7 AM, typically Thursday through Thursday, over a 13-week contract period, with potential for direct hire.

Schedule/Hours:

• 7 on, 7 off
• 9 PM – 7 AM shift
• Typically Thursday through Thursday

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications following inpatient hospital protocols
• Perform sterile compounding in compliance with safety and quality standards
• Manage medication order entry using Meditech system
• Operate and maintain Pyxis automation system for medication distribution
• Ensure accuracy and safety in medication handling and documentation

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio Pharmacy Technician license
• National certification as a Pharmacy Technician
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience
• Experience with sterile compounding techniques
• Proficient with Pyxis automation system
• Familiarity with Meditech order entry system preferred
