This role offers an opportunity to work as a Pharmacy Technician in an inpatient hospital setting with a specialized overnight schedule. The position is a contract to hire arrangement lasting approximately 13 weeks, providing exposure to a hospital pharmacy environment while working closely with medication management systems.
Location: Sandusky, OH
Schedule:
- 7 days on, 7 days off
- Night shift: 9 PM to 7 AM (typically Thursday to Thursday)
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter medication orders using Meditech
- Utilize Pyxis automation systems to manage medication dispensing
- Prepare sterile compounds in compliance with established standards and protocols
- Support inpatient pharmacy operations to ensure timely delivery of medications
- Maintain documentation and adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Current Ohio pharmacy technician license required
- National certification for pharmacy technicians
- Proven experience working in an inpatient pharmacy setting
- Sterile compounding proficiency is essential
- Experience with Pyxis automation systems
