Pharmacy Technician - Santa Ana, California

An immediate opening is available for an Interim Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support a busy hospital pharmacy in the Los Angeles area. This role offers an initial full-time schedule for about four weeks, with the potential to transition to a PRN position afterward, making it ideal for candidates local to Santa Ana, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform IV compounding and medication preparation.
• Accurately fill and manage Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems.
• Enter orders efficiently using Paragon/Allscripts systems.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Rotate shifts with other technicians, covering various schedules including weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active California Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Hands-on experience with IV compounding and Pyxis system operation.
• Familiarity with hospital inpatient pharmacy practices.
• Ability to work flexible shifts:
  • Weekdays: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Weekends: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team.
