Travel Pharmacy Technician | Schenectady, New York

A travel Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available in the Albany, NY area, specializing in a cancer center infusion pharmacy environment. This role focuses on chemotherapy and IV admixture preparation, offering an excellent opportunity for pharmacy technicians with oncology experience to apply their skills in a dynamic and supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound chemotherapy and other IV admixtures accurately and safely
• Float between three oncology pharmacies within a 20-mile radius, ensuring continuity and support across the network
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines in the handling of hazardous medications
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to maintain the highest standards of patient care

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in an oncology or infusion pharmacy setting
• Strong background in chemotherapy admixture and IV preparation
• PTCB certification highly preferred; New York state pharmacy technician license is NOT required
• Reliable transportation is essential to facilitate floating between multiple locations

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, day shifts (approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
• Immediate start, with an assignment duration of 13 weeks or longer
