An experienced pharmacy technician is needed immediately to support a busy retail/mail order pharmacy operation. This 13-week contract position offers the potential for contract to hire based on performance and mutual fit. The role primarily focuses on high-volume mail order dispensing, supplemented by some retail walk-in service—requiring a technician who thrives in fast-paced environments and maintains accuracy under pressure.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process high-volume data entry and dispense prescription medications.
  • Assist with mail order deliveries and occasional walk-in retail customer needs.
  • Maintain efficiency and precision throughout the shift.
  • Proactively support pharmacy operations by identifying and addressing workflow needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with the pharmacy team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of one year recent experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy environment.
  • Experience dispensing HIV/AIDS medications is highly desirable and must be clearly noted on the resume.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification or valid Arizona pharmacy technician license required.
  • Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to stand and remain active for the duration of the shift.
  • Exemplary attendance, punctuality, and strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrates pharmacy intuition by anticipating and responding to operational demands.
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude.
