Per Diem Pharmacy Technician | Shelbyville, Indiana

This role offers a Per Diem opportunity as a Pharmacy Technician within a retail/outpatient hospital setting located in Greensburg, IN, southeast of Indianapolis. The position provides consistent, flexible hours approximately 2-3 days every two weeks, with shifts mostly during 1st shift hours (9 AM–5 PM, 10 AM–6 PM, or 11 AM–7 PM), Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare medications under pharmacist supervision, including measuring, mixing, counting, labeling, and recording dosages.
• Type, adjudicate, and file new and refill prescriptions; handle insurance claims and rejected prescriptions with strong attention to detail.
• Manage pharmacy inventory by removing expired medications and processing unclaimed prescriptions.
• Perform cashiering and customer service duties such as running and balancing the cash register, answering phones, filing prescriptions, assisting customers with over-the-counter purchases, and checking voicemails.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Indiana.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred.
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Familiarity with PioneerRX system is preferred, with training available.
• Strong team player with excellent customer service skills.
