Support a nonprofit 100-bed hospital as a Pharmacy Technician covering a maternity leave. This contract role begins mid-May and extends for at least 13 weeks, with potential for permanent placement. The ideal candidate will have a valid Arizona Pharmacy Technician license and solid inpatient pharmacy experience.
Two schedule options are available to accommodate different preferences:
- Option 1: 7 consecutive nights on, followed by 7 nights off (night shift)
- Option 2: Four 10-hour shifts, 10:00 am to 8:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing within the inpatient setting
- Utilize Allscripts and Omnicell systems for medication orders and inventory management
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with pharmacy protocols and safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to support patient medication needs
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Arizona
- Experience working in an inpatient hospital pharmacy environment
- Proficient with Allscripts and Omnicell or similar pharmacy software systems
- Flexibility regarding schedule to meet hospital coverage needs
