Pharmacy Technician | South Portland, Maine

A pharmacy technician position is available for a 13-week contract in South Portland, ME, starting immediately. This role involves supporting pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends required

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions and prepackage medications for dispensing, adhering to all standards and government regulations
• Assist the Pharmacist with final checking of filled prescriptions, including labeling and packaging for final review
• Coordinate accurate and timely medication delivery to customers
• Support Pharmacy Management in inventory control by receiving and rotating medications and supplies, tracking lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting in physical inventory counts
• Collaborate with the Technician Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe, and well-calibrated work environment, ensuring equipment safety and cleanliness

Please note this position focuses on fulfillment duties; it does not involve intravenous (IV) medication preparation.

Qualifications:

• Current, valid Maine Pharmacy Technician license in hand
• Proven experience in a pharmacy technician role, preferably in a fulfillment or dispensing capacity
• Ability to work independently and under pharmacist supervision with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining safety and cleanliness standards
