Supporting a critical healthcare environment, this role requires an experienced inpatient pharmacy technician to assist in delivering safe and effective medication therapy for patients from infancy through adulthood. The position begins in early March, spans approximately 13 weeks, and offers the opportunity to work a 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM shift with rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing, repackaging, compounding, filling, and delivering medications.
  • Manage controlled substances including procurement, record keeping, storage, and distribution.
  • Accurately enter patient information such as diagnosis, weight, allergies, and body surface area to ensure correct dosing.
  • Adhere strictly to aseptic technique and infection control standards for sterile product preparation.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy support staff to maintain adequate medication and supply stock levels.
  • Obtain pharmacist verification on medication preparation and ensure compliance with expiration and dilution labeling.

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Texas Pharmacy Technician license.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • ACPE IV sterile compounding certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent inpatient pharmacy technician experience.
  • Demonstrated competence in batch and medication order entry.
  • Strong understanding of sterile compounding and aseptic techniques.

Location:

  • Spring, Texas.

Shift:

  • 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, rotating weekends.
