This temporary Lead Pharmacy Technician role offers a unique opportunity to support behavioral health pharmacy operations in a specialized inpatient setting. The position is based in Springdale, AR, with coverage needed Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, requiring 40 hours per week starting July 27th until a permanent role is filled.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill medication orders and deliver medications to medication rooms within the facility.
  • Manage and stock pharmacy inventory, including receiving daily warehouse orders and reconciling invoices.
  • Review and process medication recalls as necessary.
  • Assist pharmacists with medication room audits and provide additional support as required.
  • Learn and utilize the HCS order entry system (training provided).
  • Support the upcoming Omnicell system installation starting July 20th, with training available for candidates without prior experience.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Arkansas pharmacy technician license.
  • National certification as a pharmacy technician.
  • Experience in inpatient or retail pharmacy settings is preferred.
  • Ability to complete 2 days of hospital orientation followed by pharmacy-specific training with the Director of Pharmacy or pharmacist.
  • Comfortable working in a business casual dress code or wearing scrubs in colors other than blue.

Additional Information:

  • The facility specializes in adolescent and adult behavioral health.
  • Staff includes 1.2 full-time equivalent pharmacists.
  • For candidates outside the local area, mileage and lodging arrangements will be considered as per company policy.
