Pharmacy Technician - Starke, Florida

Support the preparation and quality assurance of sterile compounded medications within a fast-paced infusion and specialty pharmacy setting. This Contract to Hire role offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in sterile compounding and pharmacy operations while working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM in Starke, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile compounded medications under pharmacist supervision following USP <797> and <800> standards.
• Maintain aseptic technique and cleanroom procedures to ensure product safety.
• Perform pharmacy calculations accurately and assist with labeling, packaging, and shipment of infusion medications.
• Maintain detailed compounding logs, batch records, and quality assurance documentation.
• Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, receiving supplies, and support expiration date monitoring.
• Ensure cleanroom equipment upkeep and participate in environmental monitoring activities.
• Assist pharmacists with medication order processing and prescription fulfillment.
• Comply with State Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA requirements, OSHA standards, and company policies.
• Engage in staff meetings, quality improvement efforts, and ongoing training.
• Deliver excellent service to patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of sterile compounding experience in home infusion, hospital, or oncology settings.
• Strong knowledge of sterile compounding principles, USP <797> and <800> standards.
• Proven ability to perform medication calculations and maintain meticulous documentation.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a healthcare team.
• Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and technology.
• Strong organizational skills and capacity to prioritize workload in a dynamic environment.
