Support pharmacy operations in an outpatient setting by assisting pharmacists with medication dispensing and providing exceptional customer service. This contract opportunity offers a 13-week assignment during daytime hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in accurately preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
  • Maintain precise patient records, including medication profiles and histories.
  • Prepare medications in the correct dosage forms, such as pills and ointments, following prescriptions.
  • Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals regarding medication orders and inquiries.
  • Process medication orders in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
  • Perform administrative duties including billing, insurance claims, and managing patient files.
  • Keep the workspace clean and well-organized.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven pharmacy technician experience; retail pharmacy background is acceptable.
  • Valid Ohio pharmacy technician license.
  • Familiarity with outpatient pharmacy environment preferred.
  • Experience using NextGen for order entry is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Schedule:

  • Days, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
