A 13-week opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacy Technician to support a 100-bed hospital in the Truckee, CA area. This role offers a chance to work within a dynamic hospital pharmacy environment, focusing on sterile and non-sterile compounding along with other essential pharmacy technician duties.

Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • Day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds in accordance with hospital protocols
  • Restock Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) efficiently and accurately
  • Field phone calls into the pharmacy, providing timely and professional responses
  • Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis to manage inventory and medication orders
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure smooth operations and patient safety

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid California Pharmacy Technician license
  • Previous hospital experience is required
  • Proficiency with IV compounding techniques
  • Experience using EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
