Pharmacy Technician | Tahoe City, California

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician skilled in hospital and IV pharmacy practices. This position is based in Truckee, CA, serving a 100-bed hospital facility. The assignment is scheduled to start as soon as possible and will span approximately 13 weeks.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding accurately and efficiently
• Restock Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) ensuring medication availability
• Manage inbound pharmacy calls promptly, providing support to healthcare staff
• Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current California Pharmacy Technician license required
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Proven experience with intravenous (IV) medication preparation
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
