Pharmacy Technician | Tampa, Florida

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician in an office setting, with potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role. This position is based in Clearwater, FL, and offers a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a start date approximately two weeks after the offer is extended.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and fill prescriptions efficiently while managing insurance adjudication and resolving claim rejections.
• Prepare, package, and label medications accurately for pharmacist verification.
• Perform detailed data entry tasks, manage prescription paperwork, and communicate professionally with patients and prescribers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration date reviews.
• Assist in handling medication returns, quarantines, and destruction processes as required.
• Cross-train across various pharmacy functions and provide support to department needs.
• Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must include highest level of education on resume (HS, GED, Bachelor's, etc.).
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida with a valid national certification (PTCB, NHA, or ExCPT).
• Minimum of 2+ years of recent pharmacy technician experience in retail, closed-door, mail order, or long-term care settings.
• Local candidates only to facilitate timely onboarding.
