Pharmacist – Taunton, MA

8-Week Contract | Possible Contract-to-Hire 

Looking for a short-term opportunity with the potential to become something more long-term? We’re seeking a Pharmacist to join a great pharmacy team in Taunton, Massachusetts (about 21 miles from Boston, MA)! Training is provided. Opportunity offers great experience and flexibility!

Schedule Details:

• Contract: 8 weeks, with possible contract-to-hire
• Schedule: Must be flexible to work both opening shifts starting at 8:00 AM and closing shifts ending at 12:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely
• Ensure medications are appropriate and comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Monitor medication use, compliance, and potential over-usage concerns
• Counsel patients on medications, including dosage, side effects, storage, and drug interactions
• Provide medication consultations for both prescription and OTC products
• Provide patient services such as blood pressure checks and cholesterol management
• Educate patients on proper use of medical devices, including glucose meters and blood pressure monitors
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
• Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals

Requirements:

• Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License in hand
• Retail pharmacy experience is welcome — training will be provided
• Comfortable working both opening and closing shifts
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
