A contract-to-hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to support a busy outpatient retail pharmacy in Tifton, GA. This role involves working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure smooth prescription processing and excellent patient service at the retail counter.
Location: Tifton, GA
Setting: Outpatient retail pharmacy
Schedule:
- Monday/Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday/Thursday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and enter prescriptions accurately into the system
- Fill and dispense medications following safety protocols
- Handle insurance processing and billing efficiently
- Provide courteous and knowledgeable service to customers and patients
- Manage pharmacy inventory to maintain necessary stock levels
- Support pharmacists in daily outpatient workflow to optimize pharmacy operations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration required
- Experience in retail or hospital pharmacy preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills essential
- Proficiency with pharmacy systems; experience with Pioneer a plus
