Per Diem Pharmacy Technician in Torrance, CA

A Per Diem Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available to provide reliable coverage for call-offs, vacation, and PTO at an independent retail pharmacy that also performs non-sterile compounding (8-10 compounds daily). This role supports a well-established team, assisting with daily pharmacy operations using DigitalRx software.

Location: Playa Del Rey, CA (Local candidates preferred)
Setting: Retail Pharmacy
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
• Perform non-sterile compounding according to pharmacy protocols (preferred)
• Manage inventory and restock medications
• Provide excellent customer service to patients
• Support daily pharmacy workflow and ensure compliance with safety standards

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician license required
• Experience in retail pharmacy settings
• Non-sterile compounding experience highly preferred
• Availability to work multiple shifts during the week; preference for candidates comfortable covering more than just weekends

This per diem position offers weekly shifts with flexible scheduling—ideal for technicians currently working part-time or looking to supplement their hours. Compensation ranges from $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and compounding skills.
