Pharmacy Technician | Trenton, New Jersey

Support the Department of Pharmaceutical Services by providing essential technical assistance under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role involves accurately labeling, preparing, dispensing, and distributing pharmaceutical products to diverse patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in an inpatient hospital setting.

Location: Flemington, NJ, approximately one hour from Edison NJ, Newark NJ, and New York City.

Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoon shifts based on department needs
• Weekend rotation as scheduled

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and dispensing of medications accurately and safely
• Utilize software systems such as Pyxis and Omnicell for medication management
• Support sterile compounding and IV preparations in compliance with safety standards
• Ensure proper labeling and distribution of pharmaceuticals to all patient populations
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with hospital policies

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current NJ Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain promptly
• National Certification from PTCB or NHA
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience, including IV preparation
• IV/Sterile Compounding certification preferred
