Support pharmaceutical care delivery in a fast-paced inpatient hospital setting as a Pharmacy Technician. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in preparing, labeling, dispensing, and distributing medications for a diverse patient population including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Location: Flemington, NJ (approximately one hour from Edison, Newark, and New York City)
Schedule:
- Variable days with afternoon shifts tailored to department needs
- Weekend rotations as scheduled
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense pharmaceutical products in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Utilize Pyxis and Omnicell systems for medication management and inventory control
- Support sterile compounding and IV preparation processes to ensure quality and safety
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists and clinical staff to optimize patient care
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid NJ Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility to obtain quickly
- National certification from PTCB or NHA
- Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital experience, including IV medication preparation
- IV/Sterile compounding certification preferred
