Pharmacy Technician | Trenton, New Jersey

Provide essential technical support within the Department of Pharmaceutical Services under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role focuses on the accurate labeling, preparation, dispensing, and distribution of pharmaceutical products for diverse patient populations, ranging from neonates to geriatrics, in an inpatient hospital setting.

Location: Flemington, NJ (~1 hour from Edison NJ, Newark NJ, and New York City)

Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoon shifts according to department needs
• Weekend rotations required as scheduled

Responsibilities:

• Accurately label, prepare, dispense, and distribute medications to various patient groups
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists to ensure safe and effective medication use
• Utilize Pyxis and Omnicell software for medication management and inventory control
• Participate in maintaining compliance with pharmacy protocols and regulations
• Support sterile compounding and IV preparation processes when necessary

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• NJ Pharmacy Technician license or the ability to obtain it promptly
• National certification from PTCB or NHA
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience, including IV preparation
• IV/Sterile Compounding certification preferred
