Travel Pharmacy Tech - Troy, New York

A travel Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available for an assignment in the Albany, NY area, specifically supporting a cancer center infusion pharmacy. This role centers on the admixture of chemotherapy medications, making it ideal for pharmacy technicians with experience in chemo and IV admixture. Candidates do not need a New York state license but should hold a current PTCB certification, which is highly preferred.

Location:

• Albany, NY area (with work sites up to 20 miles apart within an oncology network)

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shifts, approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare chemo and IV medication admixtures in accordance with safety protocols
• Float between three oncology pharmacies within the network, ensuring consistent coverage
• Maintain sterile compounding standards and comply with regulatory guidelines
• Manage inventory and assist with pharmacy operations as needed

Qualifications or Desired Experience:

• Proven experience in a pharmacy technician role with a focus on chemotherapy and IV admixture
• PTCB certification highly preferred; New York state pharmacy license not required
• Ability to float among multiple pharmacy locations within a close radius
• Reliable transportation to effectively travel between sites
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
