A travel opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support a cancer center infusion pharmacy located near Albany, NY. This role focuses on the admixture of chemotherapy medications, requiring strong expertise in chemo/IV admixture preparation within oncology pharmacy settings.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and compounding chemotherapy admixtures with precision and adherence to safety protocols
- Assisting pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations within an oncology network
- Floating between three pharmacy locations within approximately 20 miles to ensure smooth operational coverage
- Maintaining accurate records and complying with regulatory standards and procedures
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Proven background in chemotherapy and IV admixture preparation is essential
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification highly preferred
- Valid pharmacy technician registration or licensure from any state; New York license is not required
- Reliable transportation is necessary to float among multiple pharmacy sites within the network
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday day shifts, approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Location:
- Assignment located in the Albany, NY area, with travel expected among nearby oncology pharmacies
This is a travel assignment with an immediate start date and a duration of 13 weeks or longer.
