Pharmacy Technician in Tularosa, NM

Pharmacy technicians are essential for efficient medication management in hospital settings. This opportunity calls for skilled pharmacy technicians to operate within an inpatient hospital pharmacy, supporting healthcare professionals and ensuring timely, accurate medication distribution. This contract position is based in the Tularosa, NM area.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions and protocols
• Maintain inventory and monitor medication supplies
• Assist pharmacists with IV admixtures and chemotherapy compounding (if certified)
• Support inpatient pharmacy operations during scheduled hours
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards

Location:

• Near Tularosa, NM, with assignments at a hospital pharmacy in Alamogordo, NM

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Rotating weekends every third weekend, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

• Pharmacy Technician certification
• IV certification preferred but not mandatory
• Experience with chemotherapy compounding a plus
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced clinical environments
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Benefits:
