Pharmacy Technician | Tularosa, New Mexico

Pharmacy Technicians are essential in supporting hospital pharmacy operations by preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. This role focuses on inpatient pharmacy services, providing critical support to ensure patients receive the medications they need in a timely manner. Opportunities are available for pharmacy technicians with varying levels of experience, including IV certification and chemotherapy familiarity.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications
• Managing inventory and ensuring proper storage of pharmaceuticals
• Accurately labeling and packaging medications for inpatient use
• Supporting the pharmacy in maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Participating in a rotating weekend schedule (every 3rd weekend)

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician certification
• Experience working in a hospital or inpatient pharmacy setting preferred
• IV certification for Pharmacy Tech w/IV roles
• Chemotherapy preparation experience for specialized pharmacy technician positions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Flexibility to work a rotating weekend schedule

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (rotating weekends every third week)

Location:

• Based in a hospital setting in Alamogordo, NM, with a specific assignment in Tularosa, NM area
