Pharmacy Technician - Uhrichsville, Ohio

This role offers the opportunity to work as a Pharmacy Technician in an outpatient pharmacy setting, supporting pharmacists in medication dispensing and ensuring patient safety. The position is based in Uhrichsville, OH, with consistent daytime hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for a 13-week period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately.
• Maintain detailed patient records, including medication profiles and histories.
• Prepare medications in various dosage forms according to prescriptions.
• Verify prescription details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals regarding medication orders and inquiries.
• Process medication orders following strict safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Perform administrative duties such as billing, handling insurance claims, and managing patient files.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with retail experience acceptable.
• Valid Ohio Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• Familiarity with outpatient pharmacy environments is preferred.
• Experience with NextGen order entry system is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
