Support pharmacy operations in an outpatient setting as a Pharmacy Technician, working days from 8 AM to 5 PM for a 13-week contract in Uhrichsville, OH. This role requires a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing medications while ensuring excellent patient service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately.
  • Maintain comprehensive and precise patient records, including medication profiles and histories.
  • Prepare medications according to prescription specifications in various forms such as pills and ointments.
  • Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers to address prescription and medication inquiries.
  • Process medication orders following established safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
  • Perform administrative duties including billing, insurance claims processing, and patient file management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support efficient pharmacy operations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician; retail experience is acceptable.
  • Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Familiarity with outpatient pharmacy environments is preferred.
  • Experience with NextGen order entry systems is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
