Pharmacy Technician - Union City, California

Pharmacy technicians with active California licenses are needed for a rewarding production role in Union City, CA, supporting a special pharmacy project in the Bay Area. This contract opportunity offers a fast track to additional income with an immediate start and a defined end date of May 31. The position is ideal for detail-oriented technicians ready to work efficiently under direct pharmacist supervision.

Work Schedule:

• Four daytime shifts: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Six evening shifts: 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Prepackage medications for dispensing following governmental and quality standards.
• Support pharmacist final checks with medication preparation and packaging.
• Assist with inventory control by receiving, rotating, and documenting medication stock including lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and calibrated work environment alongside Pharmacy Management and the Technician Supervisor.
• Facilitate timely delivery coordination of packaged medications to customers.

Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician license, active and in hand.
• Experience in prescription filling and medication prepackaging.
• Ability to adhere to pharmacy regulations and safety procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively under pharmacist supervision.

This contract role does not involve IV preparation but focuses on fulfillment and production pharmacy tasks.
