Pharmacy Technician | Union City, California

A well-established pharmacy located in Union City, CA, is seeking Production Pharmacy Technicians for a special project in the Bay Area. These roles offer an excellent opportunity for pharmacy technicians to earn quickly while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic setting. This contract position is ideal for those ready to start immediately and work through the end of May.

Location:

• Union City, California (Bay Area)

Schedule:

• Four days from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Six evenings from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Assist in prepackaging medication for dispensing following standards and government regulations.
• Support Pharmacists in final checking of prescriptions, including stating medications for final review and packaging after approval.
• Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers.
• Help maintain inventory practices, including receiving, rotating stock, logging lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting with physical inventory counts.
• Collaborate with Technician Supervisor to ensure a clean and safe work environment, as well as equipment calibration and cleanliness.
• This role focuses on fulfillment tasks and does not involve intravenous (IV) medication preparation.

Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician license must be in-hand.
• Experience working under supervision in a pharmacy setting.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow regulatory standards.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment.
