Pharmacy Technician in Union City, CA

A pharmacy in Union City, CA, within the Bay Area, is seeking Production Pharmacy Technicians for a special project. These roles offer an excellent opportunity for technicians looking to quickly earn income. This contract position starts ASAP and ends on May 31.

Schedule:

• Four days from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Six evening shifts from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Prepackage medication for dispensing, following all standards and government regulations.
• Assist the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, including stating the medication for final review and packaging post-review.
• Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers.
• Support Pharmacy Management in maintaining inventory accuracy: receiving and rotating medications, posting lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting with physical inventories.
• Collaborate with the Technician Supervisor to ensure a clean, safe work environment and check equipment calibration, safety, and cleanliness.
• Note: This position does not involve making IVs; it focuses on medication fulfillment.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current, valid California Pharmacy Technician license in-hand.
• Experience working under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Knowledge of pharmacy inventory procedures and government regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
