Location: University Park, PA
Facility: Medical Center Pharmacy
Position: Pharmacy Technician (3 openings)
Schedule:

  • 10-hour shifts
  • 40 hours per week
  • Shift options: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 10:15 AM – 8:45 PM
  • Weekend work required
  • No on-call or holiday shift expectations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee license from the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy
  • Minimum of 1 year hospital pharmacy experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication distribution
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a healthcare team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and dispense medications according to prescriptions
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory and perform quality checks
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to ensure safe medication use
  • Support compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies
  • Provide excellent communication and patient service within the department
