This opportunity seeks a motivated, bilingual Pharmacy Technician to join a dedicated team in Van Nuys, CA. Location:
- Van Nuys, CA
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Rotating Saturdays, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (with the preceding Wednesday off)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong clinical support within a retail pharmacy setting, assisting pharmacists with medication reviews and patient counseling, particularly related to diabetes management and insulin use
- Process and fill approximately 250 prescriptions daily with accuracy and efficiency
- Perform prescription processing tasks including data entry, insurance adjudication, and prior authorization follow-ups
- Deliver excellent customer service and patient communication in both Spanish and English
- Support medication synchronization, adherence initiatives, and patient follow-ups
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and workflow standards
- Exhibit leadership potential by assisting with workflow coordination
Desired Qualifications:
- Active and clear California Pharmacy Technician License
- Retail pharmacy technician experience; at least 2 years of clinical pharmacy exposure preferred
- Prior Authorization experience advantageous
- Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred to support a diverse patient base
- PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory
- Reliability, strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and a growth-minded attitude are essential
