This opportunity seeks a motivated, bilingual Pharmacy Technician to join a dedicated team in Van Nuys, CA. This contract-to-hire position emphasizes quality and long-term fit, aiming to develop the right candidate into a future Clinical Liaison or Leadership role. Location:

  • Van Nuys, CA

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Rotating Saturdays, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (with the preceding Wednesday off)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong clinical support within a retail pharmacy setting, assisting pharmacists with medication reviews and patient counseling, particularly related to diabetes management and insulin use
  • Process and fill approximately 250 prescriptions daily with accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform prescription processing tasks including data entry, insurance adjudication, and prior authorization follow-ups
  • Deliver excellent customer service and patient communication in both Spanish and English
  • Support medication synchronization, adherence initiatives, and patient follow-ups
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and workflow standards
  • Exhibit leadership potential by assisting with workflow coordination

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active and clear California Pharmacy Technician License
  • Retail pharmacy technician experience; at least 2 years of clinical pharmacy exposure preferred
  • Prior Authorization experience advantageous
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred to support a diverse patient base
  • PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory
  • Reliability, strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and a growth-minded attitude are essential
