Pharmacy Technician | Van Nuys, California

A growing pharmacy team in Van Nuys, CA seeks a dedicated Pharmacy Technician with bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English for a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity. Location: Van Nuys, CA
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Temp-to-Perm)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
• Rotating Saturdays, 9:00am – 1:00pm (with the preceding Wednesday off if working Saturday)

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and fill approximately 250 prescriptions daily with attention to detail and efficiency
• Support pharmacists with medication reviews and patient counseling, emphasizing diabetes management and insulin use
• Perform data entry, prescription processing, insurance adjudication, and manage prior authorizations
• Deliver exceptional patient communication and customer service in both Spanish and English
• Assist with medication synchronization, adherence support, and patient follow-ups
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and workflow standards
• Exhibit leadership potential by supporting clinical workflow coordination as the position advances

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active and clear California Pharmacy Technician License
• Retail Pharmacy Technician experience; 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Prior Authorization experience preferred
• PTCB certification is a plus but not required
• Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
• Reliable, accountable, and committed to professional growth
• Strong clinical judgment with confidence in diabetes-related counseling
• Patient-focused with excellent communication skills
