A growing pharmacy team in Van Nuys, CA seeks a dedicated Pharmacy Technician with bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English for a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity. This role emphasizes quality and long-term career growth, offering a clear path to Clinical Liaison or Leadership positions. Location: Van Nuys, CA
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Temp-to-Perm)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Rotating Saturdays, 9:00am – 1:00pm (with the preceding Wednesday off if working Saturday)
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and fill approximately 250 prescriptions daily with attention to detail and efficiency
- Support pharmacists with medication reviews and patient counseling, emphasizing diabetes management and insulin use
- Perform data entry, prescription processing, insurance adjudication, and manage prior authorizations
- Deliver exceptional patient communication and customer service in both Spanish and English
- Assist with medication synchronization, adherence support, and patient follow-ups
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and workflow standards
- Exhibit leadership potential by supporting clinical workflow coordination as the position advances
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active and clear California Pharmacy Technician License
- Retail Pharmacy Technician experience; 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- Prior Authorization experience preferred
- PTCB certification is a plus but not required
- Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
- Reliable, accountable, and committed to professional growth
- Strong clinical judgment with confidence in diabetes-related counseling
- Patient-focused with excellent communication skills
