Two Pharmacy Technician Opportunities – Ventura County Medical Center, Ventura, CA
This contract role begins ASAP for a duration of 13 weeks or longer in a 250-bed inpatient hospital setting. The schedule includes variable day and afternoon shifts, with every other weekend required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounding medications following safety protocols
- Restock automated medication dispensing systems (Pyxis units)
- Handle incoming phone calls and provide pharmaceutical support to nursing and clinical staff
- Assist with inventory management and medication distribution throughout the inpatient units
Qualifications:
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license required
- New graduates with training are encouraged to apply; prior experience or training in intravenous (IV) preparation is a significant advantage
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in medication handling
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment with a collaborative team
