Pharmacy Technician | Vermilion, Ohio

This role offers a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to contribute within an inpatient hospital setting. The position is based in Vermilion, OH, working a unique overnight schedule of 7 on, 7 off from 9 PM to 7 AM, typically Thursday through Thursday. This position is contract to hire with an initial duration of 13 weeks and the possibility of transitioning to a direct hire role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform medication order entry utilizing Meditech.
• Manage automated dispensing systems using Pyxis.
• Prepare sterile compounded medications adhering to safety standards.
• Support the inpatient pharmacy team ensuring accurate and timely medication distribution.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Ohio pharmacy technician license required.
• National pharmacy technician certification mandatory.
• Previous inpatient pharmacy experience essential.
• Proficient in sterile compounding protocols.
• Skilled in operating and maintaining Pyxis automation.
• Familiarity with Meditech for order entry processes.
