Pharmacy Technician in Vicksburg, MI

A healthcare facility in Vicksburg, MI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract position with potential to convert to direct hire. This role requires expertise in hospital pharmacy operations and IV compounding within an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

• Fill Pyxis machines and deliver medication orders to nursing floors efficiently and accurately
• Conduct nursing unit inspections to ensure compliance and inventory accuracy
• Prepare and compound intravenous (IV) medications following strict protocols
• Utilize Pyxis and Cerner computer systems to manage medication dispensing and documentation

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Rotating start times at 6:30 am, 7:00 am, or 8:30 am (8-hour shifts) with a second shift starting at 2:30 pm
• Rotating weekends, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
• Full-time, 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Pharmacy Technician license
• PTCB national certification
• Demonstrated inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficient in Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Experience with IV compounding procedures
