Pharmacy Technician - Vinton, VA

Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately interpret sig codes, select appropriate products, and process prescription refills
• Perform detailed data entry, verify insurance information, and resolve claims rejections
• Prepare, label, and package medications ensuring pharmacist review and approval
• Manage inventory activities including cycle counts and returns processing
• Respond to inbound and outbound calls from patients and prescribers professionally
• Adhere to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and internal pharmacy protocols

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB certification required
• Excellent communication abilities with strong multitasking and time management skills
