Pharmacy Technician III – Mail Order Pharmacy (Contract)

A dynamic mail order pharmacy is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician III to support at-home chronic care management in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. This 13-week contract role offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with an immediate start in Vinton, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret sig codes, accurately select products, and process prescription refills
• Perform detailed data entry, verify insurance coverage, and resolve insurance adjudication rejections
• Prepare, label, and package medications ensuring readiness for pharmacist approval
• Maintain inventory control, conduct cycle counts, and manage medication returns
• Manage inbound and outbound patient calls and respond to prescriber requests
• Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and organizational protocols

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician license and current PTCB certification
• Exceptional communication abilities combined with strong multitasking and time management skills

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
