A direct hire opportunity is available for a Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in Virginia and Maryland, focusing on travel within these states. This role acts as a critical liaison between multiple healthcare facilities and their pharmacy services, ensuring exceptional medication management and client satisfaction across assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with facility leadership and staff, serving as the primary contact for pharmacy-related services.
  • Support medication therapy and compliance efforts through collaboration with clinical services and pharmacy operations directors.
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high standards of care.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and introduce new pharmacy products tailored to client needs.
  • Conduct training sessions for facility staff on pharmacy systems, medication protocols, and new initiatives.
  • Perform monthly onsite visits, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts at assigned facilities.
  • Assist with survey preparation, medication room inspections, and medication pass observations as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal pharmacy teams to coordinate client services effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses for both Virginia and Maryland.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification highly preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks preferred.
  • Reliable transportation for traveling between facilities, with willingness for occasional overnight stays.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  • Rare weekend work; flexibility required for occasional later audits.

This travel-focused, field position involves working across multiple locations throughout Virginia and Maryland, including cities like Alexandria, Fairfax, Richmond, and Hampton. Mileage and hotel accommodations for overnight stays will be covered.
