Pharmacy Technician - Virginia Beach, VA

This opportunity invites an experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician to contribute to a dynamic home infusion service line within a well-established healthcare system spanning multiple hospitals and infusion sites. Focused on providing high-quality patient care, the role supports sterile compounding and preparation of IV medications under pharmacist supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare IVs, TPNs, and other sterile compounded medications consistent with quality and safety standards
• Maintain compliance with departmental protocols and legal regulations
• Support clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes
• Potentially train new pharmacy technicians as part of team development
• Perform additional sterile compounding and pharmacy technician tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of robust IV/Infusion experience, with strong preference for home infusion exposure; inpatient IV experience considered
• Current pharmacy technician license in Virginia
• National pharmacy technician certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance

Location:

• Position based in Virginia Beach, VA, supporting home infusion sites including Chesapeake and Charlottesville, VA

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shift
